2 medium cauliflowers
6 Tab olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tea crushed red pepper flakes
3 Tab fresh oregano leaves, chopped
3 Tab fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 (3.5 oz) jar capers, drained
2-3 Tab Kalmata olives, sliced
8 oz. Baby Bella Mushrooms, thinly sliced
Arrange broiler rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat broiler.
Remove leaves from cauliflowers and cut head into 1/2-1 inch thick slices. You should het 4-6 steaks plus some florets from the ends.
Coat the steaks with olive oil and top with the minced garlic. Place on a baking sheet and broil about 8 minutes and then flip them and broil an additional 5 minutes, or until they are browned.
Meanwhile, heat mushrooms, capers, olives, red pepper flakes, basil, oregano and 1 Tab olive oil in a pan until heated through. Just before serving, zest and juice the lemon over the olive relish. Spoon relish ovet broiled cauliflower steaks.
